This 2-day workshop begins on Saturday in Oceanside Headquarters. Semi-industrial machines will be provided for students' use for this workshop. Check out the info on the Class kit below!
Students will learn to use:
Zippers, Bias Binding, Nylon Webbing, Cargo Netting, Hardware, Adjustable Straps, and so much more!
For students booking a local room for the weekend, we suggest booking for Fri/Sat night, as we will be starting early on Sat and Sun mornings

Weekend Schedule
Date Oct 15-16
Sat - 8a-7p
A full day of sewing, all kits will be prepped and set up prior to your arrival and we will take a break for lunch and dinner! Most of our bag construction will be completed during this block! There is a possibility of ending earlier than 7pm, but we like to make sure that most of our bag is completed before the last few (tedious) steps of final construction.
Sun - 8a-1p
The last (few, but time consuming) steps are completed during day 2. Final piecing of the main front/back with the gusset and binding closures are saved for this special day. This way, we hit the last few steps with fresh minds! Typically, we can finish before a lunch break, but enough time is scheduled for those who need a little extra on these last steps.
Class Prep-Kit:
Class prep is included for the weekend workshop, however, you will provide your own main and contrast fabric (can be purchased directly from Sew O'side). All fabric (1.5yd each of main and contrast) need to be received at Sew O'side Headquarters no later than Oct 12th (mail or drop off is ok). All other materials and tools will be provided in your kit, as well as some pre-made pieces.
Machine Information:
Although the Ultimate Travel Bag *can* be completed with a domestic machine, a semi-industrial is highly recommended. A small handful of Semi-Industrial will be available for use for the weekend. We currently have Juki 2010q and TL18 machines available for advanced projects classes.
